Embracing Your Unique Gifts
Let's Answer the Universe's Knock with a Smile!
Hey there, let's chat about something super interesting – our incredible gifts! You know, sometimes when we try to dodge our natural talents, it's like ignoring a friendly knock on the door that's trying to bring us something awesome. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on what's waiting on the other side.
Picture this: we all have these amazing abilities that come naturally to us. But guess what? We sometimes find ourselves in a little tussle, resisting the urge to use them. It's like having a hidden superpower that we're not fully embracing. And you won't believe it, but so many stories of success start with folks who are shying away from their own fantastic skills.
Now, why does this happen, you ask? Well, there could be a bunch of reasons. Maybe we're a tad scared that our gifts come with a "too hard" tag. Or perhaps we're not quite convinced that the work aligned with our talents is actually meant for us. There are even times when we might feel too small or get caught up in what others expect from us. But here's the scoop: when we resist being our awesome selves, there are real consequences. Sometimes life sends us a curveball like a sudden illness or an unexpected twist of fate that makes us think twice. Yup, the universe knocks, and if we don't answer, it knocks even louder.
For instance, imagine you're destined to be a healer, yet you're diving headfirst into the world of law. Guess what? You might face a bit of a bumpy ride in getting or keeping a job. But hey, don't worry! This doesn't mean you can't rock the lawyer gig. It could just mean that your real calling is whispering for you to blend your gifts with your work. On the flip side, if you're feeling a little tug of anxiety that your path isn't quite right, don't brush it off. That feeling is your friendly reminder to tune in to the universe. Keep an open heart for its messages, whether they're small inklings or those big, dazzling dreams.
As you start to take baby steps towards embracing your natural talents, get ready for a magical shift in your life. It's like turning on a new, exciting chapter. And you know what's really cool? You don't have to take giant leaps right away. Just trying out something small – like signing up for a fun class or dedicating an evening each week to your hobbies – can work wonders.
So here's the deal: the first step to discovering your life's calling is as simple as tuning into your inner voice. Listen closely and keep an ear out for the universe's friendly knock on your door. When you do, you'll notice those nagging doubts and worries slowly fade away. They'll be replaced by amazing opportunities – big and small – that are all about embracing your true self. And that's what we're really here to do, right? Let's open that door and let our incredible gifts shine! 🌟

The Story
Former President Trump is the first president to have a mugshot.
Tell me.
Yesterday, Trump surrendered at Fulton County jail where he had his photo and fingerprints taken. The former president faces 13 counts in Georgia for attempting to overturn the state’s 2020 election results. He did not get his picture snapped during his first three indictments. Now, Trump has what could become the most famous mugshot in American history. Expect to see it on t-shirts, college dorm room walls, and anything that a price tag can be slapped onto. The Trump campaign might even get in on it, with Trump including the mugshot in his first X-slash-Twitter post since 2021.
Is that all?
No. Hundreds of people including Trump supporters stood outside the jail all day. Surrounding streets closed off and residents prepared for potential pandemonium. Trump also decided it would be a good time to shake up his legal team. Meanwhile, House Republicans launched an investigation into Fani Willis — the Fulton County DA who brought the charges against Trump. It all comes as Willis called for an accelerated trial date of Oct 23, which Trump doesn’t want.
Trump’s mugshot represents a historic moment in America’s democracy: a former president seeking the Oval Office again is running with unwavering party support, a mugshot, and four indictments under his belt.
Social Security Can Pay You This Much as a CoupleBut you will need to first meet these two requirements. Social Security can pay you a maximum of $4,555 per month in 2023. However, as a couple, you could get double that amount by meeting these two requirements: To qualify for this maximum benefit, first you’ll need to earn a salary that is equal to or greater than the wage cap over the span of 35 years. In 2023, this cap is $160,200. But, according to the Congressional Research Service, only 6% of workers consistently earned more than the wage cap amount to get maximum benefits. You can, however, have more control over the second requirement: If both of you can delay retirement by a few years, you could still get more money even when your combined salaries are beneath the wage cap. The maximum benefit for couples retiring at 70 is $3,966 more each month than what they could earn by retiring at 62. And if you both choose full retirement age at 65, waiting just five years to age 70 could earn you $1,856 more each month.

A drafting error in last year’s SECURE 2.0 Act could effectively ban catch-up contributions in 2024. Section 603 requires that anyone earning over $145,000 make catch-up contributions to their employer-sponsored retirement accounts on a Roth basis. This means you’ll get taxed on your full contribution if Congress does not make a change. |
